Classic vs. Volume Lashes: Which is Right for You?

When you decide on getting eyelash extensions, there is one main question people are often left with: classic or volume lashes?

The beauty of eyelash extensions is that they can be as custom as you would like, as there are various lengths, thicknesses, and curvatures that lashes come in, meaning you can achieve many looks! When booking a full set appointment, you have two choices, classic or volume. What do these mean? Let’s dive in!

Classic Lashes

Classic lashes achieve a natural, but elevated look--like your lashes, but better. When applying the lash extension to your natural lashes, the classic application is a one to one ratio: one lash extension is adhered to one natural eyelash. Classic lash extensions give you a separated, lengthened look.

Volume Lashes

Volume lashes allow you to get that full, fluffier look with your lashes. When applying volume lashes, a lash fan is created, where two to six eyelash extensions are grouped together at the base, then adhered to your natural lash. The lash fan creates more volume and drama. When a full set of volume lashes is applied, you achieve a higher-impact look.

Neither of these sound quite right? We live up to our name: Bespoke. A bespoke, custom look can be created for you, mixing classic and volume applications to create a hybrid application. Hybrid is the best of both worlds, adding some volume but also keeping the look pretty natural, by mixing both classic and volume. This doesn’t have to be 50/50, it can be customized to your liking. Choose mainly volume but put in some classic to tone it down, or do mainly classic but add some pops of volume.

With any lash application, the cleansing and fill procedure is still the same: cleanse daily for best retention, and come in every one to four weeks to top up!

You can always discuss the different looks with your stylist, as they will know what look works best with your natural lashes and eye shape.
