Aftercare Guide for Eyelash Extensions

General Guidelines

Proper care and maintenance of your lashes will ensure beautiful and long-lasting results!

After Application:

Basic makeup application and normal lifestyle routine can resume after your eyelash extension application. To facilitate a more flexible, longer-lasting bond and to minimize potential irritation or adverse reactions avoid the following activities for the first 3 hours.

Exposure to excessive steam or water
Exposure to excessive heat
Spray or airbrush tanning
Contact insertion
Use of non-Xtreme Lashes cosmetics and skincare products that come in contact with the extended lashes

Note: To maximize your eyelash extension longevity, only use specifically formulated eyelash extension compatible cosmetics and skincare products.

The following activities will weaken adhesive bonds and result in premature eyelash extension loss:

Use of non-Xtreme Lashes cosmetics and skincare products that come into contact with eyelashes
Use of waterproof cosmetics on or near extended lashes
Use of mechanical or heated curlers
Excessive mascara application
Excessive exposure to friction
Excessive rubbing of eyes
Picking or pulling on extended lashes
Chemical treatments such as eyelash tinting or perming

To prevent damage to your eyelash extensions, care should be taken when receiving any of the following procedures:

Strong chemical peels or skin resurfacing procedures that come into contact with the eye area
Facial treatments and facial massages that include direct contact with the eye area and extended lashes

To prevent lashes from clumping or losing volume, do not apply any mascara, protective coating, or sealer to eyelash extensions applied using the Volumation technique.

Aftercare Techniques

All over cleanse:

Cleanse your entire orbital eye area quickly and effortlessly using the lint-free Xtreme Lashes Cosmetic Sponges. Saturate two cosmetic sponges with Xtreme Lashes Eye Makeup Remover & Facial Cleanser and gently wipe across your upper and lower eyelids from inner to outer corner. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Targeted cleanse:

Cleansing and massaging the eyelid- Saturate one or more Xtreme Lashes Flex Tip Applicators or Lint-Free Applicators with Eye Makeup Remover & Facial Cleanser and massage your lash line and eyelid to promote circulation and healthy natural eyelash growth. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Cleansing eyelash extensions from base to tip- Saturate two Xtreme Lashes Flex Tip Applicators or Lint-Free Applicators with Eye Makeup Remover & Facial Cleanser and place one above and one below your eyelash extensions. Perform gentle scrubbing motions while moving both applicators along your eyelashes from base to tip. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Cleansing between eyelash extensions- Saturate an Xtreme Lashes Long-Tipped Applicator with Eye Makeup Remover & Facial Cleanser to clean between—and at the base of your lashes—to remove residual makeup, oils, and debris. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Dry & Style

Dry your eyelash extensions with the Xtreme Lashes Mini Fan while using the Xtreme Lashes Deluxe Retractable Lash Styling Wand or a clean, dry, Lint-Free Applicator to fluff and style your eyelash extensions into place.
